And the nominees are... The 2013 Hugo Award nominees have been announced and FenCon X special guest Patrick Nielsen Hayden is up for Best Editor - Long Form on this year's ballot. Our pal Brad W. Foster is up for Best Fan Artist and several former FenCon guests are nominated in various categories. Check out the complete list!

Sold out: Our ninth annual writers workshop, this year taught by award-winning editors Patrick and Teresa Nielsen Hayden, is sold out. All 20 slots filled in just five days, a new record! There is a stand-by list to sign up for and you can get all the details on our writers workshop page.

Giving back: LIFT logoOur designated charity for FenCon X is the Autism Treatment Center. Our 2013 charity efforts, which include a limited edition signed/numbered art print by Artist Guest of Honor Charles Vess plus our annual charity auction, will help the ATC assisted individuals with autism throughout their lives as they learn, play, work, and live in the community.

Get a room, fast: Our hotel room block is open and rooms are going fast for 2013. Get the great FenCon rate with group code FCX. See our hotel page for all the details. They've moved the big football game but it's still a busy weekend in Dallas so don't delay.
