When not working on his own writing, he hammers out Heroic Fantasy Quarterly ezine. There is backpacking in his life, and taekwondo, too. He’s helmed 49 issues of Heroic Fantasy Quarterly released and three best-of anthologies. His fiction has appeared in James Gunn's Ad Astra, Tales From the Magician’s Skull, and Giganotosaurus. His nonfiction has been published at Strange Horizons, Internet Review of Science Fiction, and Black Gate.
